I used to be bored like you. Very bored actually. Wait a minute, how do I know that you're bored? You are reading my stuff so you must bored to some degree. Jokes aside. Lets get straight to the point here. Boredom is not a comfort pocket. I mention comfort pocket a lot, which is a source of all our actions. If you still don't know what comfort pocket is then you should click here to find out. If the full length is confusing then read the abridged version here. Boredom is a source of our actions that can be classified along with fear. If not handled well, then it can be ridiculously dangerous. The reason is because in face of boredom, any new comfort pocket can be formed as long it doesn't conflict with your currently owned comfort pockets. For example, if you were bored, then you would do anything to not feel bored.
We were all born with fear inherited from nature to protect our body from destruction. We were all born with boredom to stimulate selfish motivation to interact with our environment. Fear plays the role of conserving, and boredom plays the role of expanding. For the purpose of this piece of writing, I will roughly classify them like this. Feeling bored is part of nature. Boredom can be used in two ways. Positive and negative.
If we use our boredom positively, then we will have the ability to let the feeling of boredom inside us cyclically disappear and reappear consistently, so we'll feel a feeling of the following:
- abundance
- hope
- peace if we feel advanced
- desperate need of attention
- fear
- jealousy
- desperate need to torture people
- control
- mood swings
- anger towards happy people
- anger towards happy groups of people
- need to feel sad to feel "alive"
- mysterious amounts of hatred even when there's no logical reason to hate
- random and sudden risk taking with random cowardly withdrawal symptoms
- random need to prove yourself
- constant fear of losing something or someone
- heavy irregular, illogical, or random need of satisfaction from material objects or actions (food, drugs, alcohol, sex, rape, self abuse, abuse others, dangerous weapons)
- inconsistent levels of sleepiness
To conclude this piece of writing, feeling boredom is a part of our nature that surfaces when we have too much "goal less time". Start thinking of some goals now, even if it's something as simple as walking down the streets and looking at the birds. Doing anything is always better than doing nothing. Don't let too much fear hold you back.
