How To Become The Most Perfect Person In This World

Nobody's perfect right? I write about nonsense, so this is something you'll have to learn to accept. Today we talk about how to become best "you" in the world. If you have anything to say then please don't hesitate to leave a comment below.

Everybody has heard of the phrase, "nobody's perfect". Good line. So why is that? I don't know, why are you looking at me, the writer for the answer? I can lead you to the answer. Hopefully as I write this, and as you read this, we can find the answers along the way.

Perfection is a pretty abstract word if you don't attach something tangible to it. Like for example, a profession like a perfect scientist. Lets ignore all the fields of science out there like biology, chemistry, physics. Our first example will just focus on this dude who's a scientist. If we pushed our imaginations out a little bit to the extreme and wonder about how a perfect scientist look, behave, talk, and live then what would we imagine? All good scientists uses the scientific approach, so lets start from there to figure out what a perfect scientist is like. Scientific approach is roughly in this format:
  1. make a question,
  2. take a guess at what the answer might be
  3. do some trial and error to prove it
  4. finally give the right answer after all that hard work
If you do that, then you're a scientist. Whoa, holy cow, then aren't we all scientists? Imagine how often you use that method to figure out how to use a computer, a program, can opener, your parents' allowance, and your private genitals. Well, most of us are "scientists" by nature after all, that's why we made so many discoveries like noodles and anti gravity belts. However, some of us enjoy approaching our life this way instead:

  1. There's a problem
  2. Do whatever
  3. Hope for the answer to show up
Now don't get me wrong. I believe that both approaches are absolutely correct. The scientific approach just happens to organize it so that you cover ALL the variable trial and errors to get the answer. The other instinctual approach relies on comfort pocket, and feeling. Most often then not, most of our problems can be solved easily with the instinctual approach. Even the scientific approach isn't perfect for all problems. For example, ever heard of aspartame the sugar substitute. Yea it's rumored to be carcinogenic, but that's not the point right now. Did you know that scientists discovered aspartame by ACCIDENT? They weren't even researching any sugar substitutes. They were doing some other kind of bacteria experiment. In fact, there was no process of trial and error that they went through to find which chemical compound taste sweet to our tongue, because it simply just happened. Most often then not, most of our profound discoveries are made this way. Scientific method is simply a "safer" method to find our answers. It is definitely not the fastest way.  This brings us to a dilemma here. Perfect scientists should be able to find perfect solutions right? Yet to be perfect, they have to use the scientific approach to back it up, because our society demands "proof" and "data" for everything. Scientists can't just say they did "whatever" and got the answer, and hope it sells. They have to prove it with intense amounts of hard core data. Perfect scientists has to be able create great solutions to problems like motorcycles that can fly, birds that cooks themselves and flies into your plate, or air materializing broccoli for you to eat, and other things that you can imagine. However, a regular scientist following the scientific approach pretty leads a very slow progress, making you unable to enjoy the fruits of their hard effort within a 10 to 20 years time frame or even longer.

So in other words a perfect scientists will have to be brilliant at creating great stuff, creating it fast, and proving they did it correctly with data and research that takes years to finish. The conclusion is that perfect scientists has to be fast and slow and the same time. Slow to collect hard core and concise data, and fast to create brilliant discoveries (or else how are they perfect?). I'm pretty sure you already see what I'm getting at, and I'm also sure that you think that I'm playing with words to confuse you. If you're not convinced at the implied conclusion I just made, then lets have another example.

Perfection is a type of extreme. Let's discuss another type of extreme so that you can see the abstract idea I'm describing. Lets say there's this politician that found a genie (assuming genies are real and they can grant wishes). He wished the genie can grant him the ability to read minds, see the present, and past, and has eternal youth and has all the power in the world. Let's assume that his wish came true. If you were him, do you know how he would feel? I can tell you. He would feel absolutely BORED. You ever tried played a game with cheats? Cheating so that you are in god mode and nothing can kill you? Yea, that's the feeling. It's the same feeling you get when you are trying to dominate the air and weeds around you. Why do people want so much power in the first place? To enjoy their life of course so that nobody can push them around. With this man's ability to read minds, see the past, and the future, and unlimited youth he would no longer be able to enjoy pleasure. The reason is because pleasure happens when we play games to feel the emotional edge of struggling between our ability and the unknown. We want to be "surprised" by something, similar to roller coaster rides in amusement parks.  If we already knew the outcome, and our victories are guaranteed all the time, then we will no longer want to play those games. That same politician from the example earlier will most likely desire the ability to be "surprised", but yet he's all knowing, so how can he be surprised by anything? Let's assume he can use the genie to disable his original wish of power, but at the same time desire not to let go of all his invincibility. Desiring invincibility and all knowing ability while desiring pleasure is a clear contradiction of desires. In other words, the most perfectly powerful person in this world doesn't exist. How can anyone be powerful, if they can't feel good?

Perfection itself doesn't exist not because you can't reach a "perfection in skill", but it's because we can't be a perfect roundabout to satisfy everything. If you're perfectly rounded out then you won't have edges, but if your life is rounded out balanced, then you can't be perfect. There is always something you have to give up if you desire one thing. It's all the more true for emotional beings like us. It's like desiring for the perfectly strong hand in the world that feels no pain, yet at the same time desiring that same hand to have the ability to feel the most subtle sensation in the world. Even if you had a genie, your wish will never be able to be granted.

Realizing what perfection literally is, and taking responsibility for it, has already lead you to one type of perfection that everybody has. That would be peace. Anything living being in this world has the ability to have perfect peace of mind, and harmony with the environment. When you realize that you are valuable and comfortable with your goal and role in life, then you are perfect.
