Here's some nonsense of seasonal changes. Other than some obvious temperature and weather change, have you ever noticed that even your personality has changed? If you have anything to say then please don't hesitate to leave a comment below.
For these past few days, the air has gotten lighter, and my body has gotten more anxious to take risks. Awesome right? Right. Nevertheless, ever since I built my comfort pocket last year to counteract negativity of the environment around me, I have built resistance to the spring air I am currently experiencing, but I am not immune. It's pretty bad. Got to tell you why right now.
Spring is an exciting season. Snow melts, rain falls, and people go crazy. In TCM, spring is a season of tension in which the yang is combating yin for their rightful position. Obviously yang would eventually win, but the yin is still too lazy to rise up. Now, I realized what that means. In other words, during the winter time, your depressions, and negativity have been built up to the maximum (assuming you had any), and the change in season has forced your negativity to come out and take ACTION.
I guess that's why people call this spring fever. People temporarily lose their sanity in the face of newborn strength (if you can call it that) and motivations. However, according to my previous theory, the only time people lose their sanity is when their comfort pockets are destroyed. Well, unfortunately, that's exactly what's happening.
People develop a calming and enduring nature during the winter, which is easily reinforced with extra layers of clothes, and lack of activity. Comfort pocket needs to have an exactly predictable scenario in order to produce maximum efficiency. The issue here is that a transition state, e.g. spring to summer, summer to fall, fall to winter, winter to spring is usually short and people don't have enough experience, and habits to develop a proper comfort pocket that can be used next year, so it usually takes a person many years to develop a comfort pocket to combat spring fever.
People assume it is spring right now, but it's not the most stable season. It's a random up and down weather along with unrealistic expectations, exposing ourselves to sickness, and mental disturbances. At this transition, everybody in general should feel slightly lively, then depressed, then anxious, and unstable. In order to combat this problem, using old comfort pockets will just screw up your mentality, because the similar scenario you see is simply an illusion created by your old comfort pockets.
What's the answer to this question? Develop a new comfort pocket NOW! Assume that you are not in a 100% safe environment. Remember, your emotions are not stable right now, because your old comfort pockets has been popped. The only solution is to overlap it with a comfort pocket that only works in spring. For me, I redirect the spring excitement into motivations for physical training, and meditation. That's the easy way out for me since I've been like meditating all my life. For other people, you can try slow the rhythm of the high rhythm spring by developing a motivation to achieve one role and one goal. In other words, don't try to do too many things at once. Choose one goal to develop and go for it. Forget the rest until spring fever passes. However, if you are forced to multitask daily, then you'll have no choice but to create a comfort pocket backbone. In other words, summarize your whole current life right now, and have everything center around it. For example, let's say person A does charity, eats vegetables, teaches little children, walks in the mountains every week, then this person should create a center comfort pocket in which he wants to live a life based on peace, and developing other people and his environment, then every other action (other comfort pockets) should center around it.
Oh if none of this stuff made sense to you, then it's because it's nonsense. Enjoy my nonsense, and combat spring fever. Cheers!
