Stress Relief - Make Yourself Light Theory

This time, I'm writing about the nonsense I learned from my meditations. You know, those funny moving colors, shapes, chakras in and out. However, it might be slightly more daily life oriented this time. If you have anything to say then please don't hesitate to leave a comment below.

Ever feel that you can't handle everything all at once? Ever felt that you always have to use that extra "push" just to get things done, even to the point of using that extra "push" on a daily basis, which pretty much makes it not extra anymore, since it became an obligation. However, the problem doesn't lie with the "push" believe it or not. It's the side effects of it.

Side effects include dizziness, agitation, nervousness, belly aches, tendency to drink lots of coffee, eat lots of sweets, gain a belly, easy to feel depressed, hard to feel happy, have trouble being motivated to having fun, sleeping, and others. Pretty grim future huh? Nah, not really. You're still alive (I'm assuming you are), so that's what matters. You might feel that you're better off dead or something like that. Hey, I've been there so it's no biggie. Just take a nap and you'll feel different again. If you don't, then I'll write something else to cheer you up next time okay? Ahem, anyway, yea, about those side effects, you can't quite get rid of them right? You try to relax and you just can't do it. I present to you, two solutions. One, have acupuncture done on you, because there are special techniques to relieve stress, or two read on. (oh by the way, if you somehow stumble upon a bad acupuncturist, then well, look for a new one)

If you think about it carefully, when you are stressed, nobody is really pulling the strings and manipulating you to feel that way. Well, some might, but it doesn't really matter. Stress is a self inducing factor, so you can solve it without any help. It just takes some patience. Ironically, stress makes you throw your patience out the window, but please be patient just for one more week if you can. Even if you can't, try anyway (I'm so demanding). The technique is not demanding on you and it's very easy to do. The thing is, would you have faith in what I'm teaching you?

The foundation of stress relief is to remember what it's like before you were stressed. The difference between the two is that before you were stressed, you didn't have a certain burden, and after you are stressed, you gained a certain burden. To find your way back to the unstressed version of you, while living in a stressed life takes a little mindset foundation. First, you have to learn the definition of peace.

Peace itself is not the opposite of your stressed related life. I'm serious. I mean you have plenty of peaceful sleeping time, even if it's just 3 to 4 hours a day. It didn't really help did it? Most people assume that if you can just "not do" everything they have to do right now in their stressful life, and enjoy the "results" of luxury then they'll feel peaceful. That's a big fat lie man. That's not peace. That's boredom. If that was the definition of peace, then the world you live in must be in pure gray color, because nobody would ask for anything excess. Everyone will just be satisfied with food that doesn't taste good, clothes that's not fashionable, and riding a mountain bike, instead of buying a car. Just because you don't do anything, doesn't mean you'll feel peace. You want something more interesting, exciting, new, and refreshing. That's the standard of life everybody is striving for, not some "peace" where you do nothing and live like some kind of farm pig. The things I just mentioned like fashionable clothes, tasty food, and cars are excess options in life. I mean, you don't really need to meet those requirements to survive right? They only exist to make you "feel" good. That feeling disappears really quickly too, ironic enough. So what exactly is peace then?

Peace has nothing to do with neutralizing your body functions and let "others" serve you like feeding a horse and pig. Peace is to learn to feel the balance between forward and backward. Forward as in motivation, and backward as to settling down. Stress comes from the fact that you want to push what you are doing quickly so you can handle it with less errors, and have more time to enjoy yourself. Learning how to take a step backward and settle down is the key. I'm not tell you to do this during your work time. I'm telling you to do this during your break time. Remember, your stress actually comes from the side effects of the tasks you have in life, not the task itself. Those pesky side effects take away your rest time and you lose your ability to recover. I'll end this writing with two imagery that will help you accomplish the effect of obtaining "true peace" during your break time.

One, is something I learned from a martial arts book. I don't quite remember what it's like so I'll paraphrase it here, "When you work, you work to your best, and when you are done, take a deep breath and forget it all". In other words, put in your best effort when you work, which is even better if you get good amounts of rest, and forget your work during your rest time.

Second imagery is something I learned from my meditation. I'll quote myself so you know what I'm referring to. "Close your eyes, use your minds eye to take notice of your whole body, search every part for heat, thickness, tightness, pain, defense, protection, energy, potential, and let it radiate out of your body. When it leaves, imagine that part of your body being erased from existence, leaving nothing but a blank. Give up your body, and let it become non existence. Let go of your mind and let it become non existence. Non existence balanced with subconscious existence is peace".

Try to use both images and good luck with your stress relief. Oh by the way, these two techniques works better without caffeine, since your heart beats will disrupt you from time to time.
