This nonsensical insanity I'm talking about today is backbone. I'm not referring to your courage, but more like the foundation of your courage. Do you have to courage to face who you are? If you have anything to say then please don't hesitate to leave a comment below.
In my previous writing, 'comfort pocket', I talk about the foundation of your personality. That is already pretty much talking about exactly what kind of person you are, and the strength and weaknesses you have. Then again, if you just understand yourself on such a shallow level, then you'll eventually run into one more problem; "being the way I am, what am I supposed to do next?", and "what do all my strengths and weaknesses accomplish?" The answer lies in connecting the dots, which is your backbone.
In chinese, there's a saying that, "a snake can't move without a head", and that applies to your 'comfort pocket'. All the comfort pockets you've created has a common purpose, which is your only real supporter of your selfish motivation in life. As I mentioned before, "comfort pocket is what you created as a secure protection of your life", so if it breaks, then you'll lose your 'sanity' end up mentally destroyed. Even if most of your comfort pocket breaks, your backbone will try to substitute with different ones that replace the lost ones. Without your backbone, your comfort pockets will have no purpose, and your selfish motivation will be diminished.
Everyone has a backbone, but to find it is going to be slightly tricky. Anyone that tries to search for it with their perception will only get more lost. The idea is to try to remember, not to find. Remembering the support you had, dangers you went through, decisions you made, and promises you kept. Once you remember, your comfort pockets will organize itself into the ultimate backbone. This is the strongest foundation to secure your selfish motivation, leaving the rest to timing, and health.
However, sometimes useless comfort pockets will attempt to get in the way of remembering your backbone. You'll have to somehow accommodate, or destroy them. Let's say for example that being a person conquering the seas is your backbone, then any dangers regarding the sea, stored as comfort pockets will have to be discarded (very difficult since comfort pocket can't be controlled by the mind), or accommodated with new comfort pockets that decreases the dangers involved. It's mostly about patience, and thinking a little bit.
To sum it up, your life's purpose is not a confusing thing that you can't understand, but it's something you forgot. Once you remember it, you'll realize why it was 'put aside' for other 'important things' in your life. The comfort pockets you created were not created out of nothing. They were made based on the same 'ideal' all along. Can you remember what your backbone is?
